Here are a few sports we offer every year.
Who Should Play?
Just about everyone who wishes to join us to have fun in learning how to play these sports from ages 8-12. We will divide players into teams and gender according to number. If there is not enough in between, we can do Co-Ed also. Our promise is that we will not turn down anyone who comes to play.
The following are the sports we offer with definitions and what to expect for each sport.
- BasketBall
- Definition:
- A sport named after a large rubber ball that is played with throughout the game.
- A ball that is played by two teams of five players each on a lined rectangular court.
- A ball that is bounced and thown into a raised netted hoop positioned on both long ends of the Court
Each player will learn the in's and out's of the court, as well as the rules of the game. Each player will learn how to dribble the ball (and I don't mean the mouthwatering kind of dribble). They will learn how to shoot the ball, how to pass the ball, and do lots of running around the court to be in shape. Each player will learn the positions of the court and what to do when their peers pressure them into a tight spot.
- Flag Football
- Definition: A version of American Football of which players must not tackle one another. Instead, they must pull the flag off of another player waist that has the ball to stop the play of the game.
This sport will help players learn strength and endurance as well as honesty. Each player will wear a flag belt, and be separated into an even number of 2 teams. Each player will learn the rules of football and the positions of each team. Each player will learn how to throw or catch the football, also how to protect themselves. They will learn the art of game play and why it is important to work together on the field.
- Soccer
- Definition: A ball usually kicked around by two teams of eleven players each in a large field. The point of the game is to attempt getting the ball into the goal using any part of the body but your arms and hands. However, in other countries this is known as football.
Each player will learn the Rules of the game and how to control the ball. Each player will learn how to protect themselves and the goal post. They will also learn the art of soccer and the roles each person plays on a team. Each player will have fun as they learn about team work. There will also be snacks provided to the team after each game and practice.
- Golf
- Definition: A game in which a player uses sticks or clubs to hit a small ball and sink it into a small hole with as few strokes as possible.
In this sport each player will learn the rules of Golf and how to handle the golf clubs. Each player will learn and practice the swinging and ball hits to understand the golf sport. From time to time they will also do mini golf challenges to sharpen their skills.
- Baseball
- Definition:
- A game named after a ball and the design of the game.
- A game played on a field with a bat, a ball, and four bases with two teams of nine players each. The score is counted by the number of players that make a complete run to all the bases without being put out.
Each player will learn how to hit and catch a ball as well as properly use the bases. Each player will learn about the positions on the field and how to work together. Every practice and game play will depend on weather conditions. There will also be snacks provided at the end of each game.
- Kickball
- Definition:
- A mix between soccer and baseball.
- A game played on a field with a large ball and four bases with two teams of nine players each. The design of the game is to kick the ball and run the bases without being put out.
Each player will learn how to kick the ball without hitting anyone, catch a big high flying ball and throw it. This game will be played depending on weather conditions. Each Game will be great a exercise for everyone that wishes to play.back to top
